great thinker that I am....

Hmmmm...what's on my mind? Well, stuff. Stuff I can't control. Stuff that I want to control. Just when I think I am somewhere...I am not. I'm not depresssed or anything. I am ususally surprised. I think I am more finished than I actually am. Evaluate and re-evaluate. I tend to be a let's just do it kind of person. Unless I don't feel like doing it, then I won't. Unless I am being a weakling and buying into lame guilt. Hmmmm...I'm glad it's Friday. Aren't you?

Waxing instead of worrying...

I was thinking about worrying about something. You know that split second you get, before you exhale and let the tapes roll? For some reason (probably God) I switched gears and decided to do give myself a wax instead. For anyone that's ever used wax, you know it's like hot, sticky peanut butter, that dries quick and comes off with difficulty. It worked. It's kept me busy and will keep me busy for days to come as I continue to pick off dried wax from my fingernails and the drips on the sink and carpet.

Pineapple Anyone?

I hung out with Dad all day yesterday. He's struggling with Alzhiemers. He's married to the sweetest lady in the world, has been for more than fifty years. Any who, he made it to the hospital again this weekend. This time he "fell down and can't get up!" only it was my brother and mom calling 911 for help. He's ok. Just confused. So we hung out.

Pineapple King, because just a couple weeks ago, he went to the hospital after eating an ENTIRE pineapple, the rind and core. It made him sick. In this picture I said be goofy, drop your teeth or something, he did!
They left a box of gloves in the room and I told Dad that was dangerous. We gloved him. I told him when the nurses come in to tell them the following:
  • I am wearing gloves because I am germaphobic or
  • Hold up his hands and say, "I'm ready for my exam !"

Next we cut off the finger tips of his gloves. I gave him the pile of tips and I told him to tell them he bit them off because he was nervous. Well, we took pictures... it was good. Today was not. He doesn't remember all of our laughs, but I do :)

Which road do I take? The one to the Lamborghini

Which road do I take? That was the burning question, even as I was on the road! I went to Pleasanton, to wax the brow and pamper the toes. Then toward home again to pack for an overnight get away; to where? I took the freeway really wondering where? I was thinking Tahoe or Ocean? I decided the Ocean. I drove to Halfmoon Bay, where I spent a GLORIOUS day on the beach. I just wanted to see something bigger than me. The Ocean is God's business. It's beautiful and terrifying at the same time and a great reminder that I am NOT in control, HE is! It was perfect. Fully lathered in SPF 50, I watched families, listened to kids, felt the horses run by, walked on the beach, watched dads dig holes and families play flag football, read and fell asleep. It was perfect.

As you can see, the sky was as blue as can be! Not a great shot. You can see so far up my nose you can almost see what I'm thinking...

It was a perfect day...

I decided to go the City after that and see my neice. On the way I saw something else. I was just outside admiring this brand new Lamborghini having my sister-in-law take my picture when this guy on third floor sticks his head out and offers to unlock it and let me sit in his new car. So from the third floor he unlocked it and I hopped in! WOW! According to some website, it's a 600,000 dollar car! I've never had my backside in or on anything that expensive, I don't think...

BRAND NEW, not even a licence plate yet!

Next time maybe I'll drive this on my perfect day :)

Anyway, what a great day. I left at 8 and got home at 8:30 or so. I saw so many cool things. I sang lots of songs, LOUD. I needed it.
