I'm hot

It's a real cooker today. If you're anywhere near me, I'll bet you are hot too. I have some ideas about how to keep cool in this heat wave, here goes:

Be like my father-in-law and sit and read in the shade

Stay in or on the water for long periods of time

Take up evening pee-wee golf

Sit under a tarp or umbrella

or finally....just sleep it off...

Stay cool everyone. Feel free to come by for dip!

We had a great day at Mandresa Beach in Santa Cruz. The weather was delightful and it was just a sweet day with our family!

Just got home from a WONDERFUL day trip with Rachel and my niece Jessica, visiting from Misssissippi! We had a perfect day. It was so good to see blue skies after having so much gray smokey stuff these last few weeks.

We had a great day. We rode the Big Dipper four times! The last time I pretended I was bored with my hand under my chin the entire time, i'll try to post that later. FUN day! Plus on Mon and Tues after 5PM, all rides are .75c as are soda, hot dogs and cotten candy! FUN!

Happy Summer! Just thought I'd post some pictures...

SURPRISE!!!!!

I WAS TOTALLY SURPISED! I did not have a clue. I wasn't prepared and I wasn't looking. In fact, I was lying on my bedroom floor suffering terribly from "Aunt Flo's" visit! Jimmy had been trying to get me to take a walk and I wasn't cooperating. Finally KVH and T came to escort me. I still had no clue. I thought oh, BBQ with the Spicas's and VH's. Sweet. Then they took me to the park. I said if "What Not To Wear" wasn't there, I wasn't going. Honestly, I just figured their husbands and all the kids and mine were there. You could have knocked me over with a feather! Thank you all so much for coming to my party! I was and am still reeling! I didn't know what to do at first. I still don't. I am humbled and thank you all so much for giving me your whole day and loving my family. Be sure to click the picture to enlarge. Be sure to notice the two heads are better than one! I'll add more as I get more of the pics. We had a great day. I think there was some food. So we ate, two cakes, chocolate and vanilla, thank you! We even had the softball field and played! We were doing a head count and think there were about 26 or 28 children!!!!! Many brand new! Thank you, thank you, thank you all for coming and honoring me. I feel so blessed. By the way, I got new roller skates. My old pair my dad bought me 28 years ago for my 12th birthday! No joke! So I be roll'en....
